Lauren is 2 today!!

Wow! What a two years it has been. I thought I was the happiest I could ever be when I married Jon but then here comes this little miracle and the happy meter is off the charts! I have never smiled so much in much life as I have these past two years. You would think seeing Lauren everyday I would get where I don't want to stare at her all the time but it just isnt happening and I don't think I ever will. She amazes me everyday! And to watch Jon and her together just brings tears to my eyes sometimes. It is so wild how she is has so much of us both in her and then here comes this own personlity of her own. It is so great to watch and be apart of. I am so proud to be Lauren's mommy!

Lauren fingerpainted for the first time today and at first she didn't want to get dirty!! lol! But when I showed her how to do it she really liked it! She kept wanting more paint on the paper!! I will post a pic of my little artist later!!

A trip to the Zoo!!

Jon and I took Lauren to the zoo today. She loved it!! She actually wanted to see the animals and would name the ones she knew. She had to ride the carousel also! She saw it and went crazy!! lol!

The Big Birthday Party!!!

We had Lauren's 2nd birthday party today. She had so much fun! The weather was for the most part perfect. Breezy and a bit chilly but no rain! She has a ton of new toys, clothes, books, and puzzles!! A new favorite she decided on very quickly was the water guns that Ashley and Kincaide got her. Daddy, Lauren and Addy had a ball with them! Although Lauren had just as much fun squirting herself and drinking from the water gun!! lol! She got her first motorized 4-wheeler! She seems to be following in her Daddy's nickname Crash!! The swingset Jon and I got her all the kids enjoyed that today. Lauren was so exicted when she saw it this morning!! She wanted a cupcake since she saw me making them and she inhaled her cupcake today and she is wanting another one as I type!! lol! She also wanted to open presents since last night! She tore right into them!! It was a great day with lots of fun!! I will post pics in a few!!

Soaking up the sun!

We spent most of the day outside today. This morning was a trip to Bontical Gardens and then the afternoon just in the back yard. Lauren loves her new sunglasses!

Yep she is Tall!!!

I have had alot of people comment on how tall Lauren looks in the pictures and even people just when we are out when I tell them how old she is they always say wow what a big girl! Last night Jon and I measured her and marked it on her growth chart and 34 1/2" tall and 24lbs at her last doctors appointment last week. So yes I guess she is tall!! I never would have thought I would have a tall child!! lol!!

The Birthday outfit!

I wanted to get some pics of Lauren in her birthday outfit with the white backdrop. Although I hate indoor shots these will work. I know I will get so many at her party this weekend. Problem is with the outfit is that the skirt is STILL too big! There seems to be a huge difference between an 18 month and a 24 months!

When I showed Jon the pics he got a funny look on his face and I asked him if he didnt like them. He said No, it isnt that it is just that she looks like she is 4 years old!!! lol! I think he is feeling the oh my baby is growing up too!

Yesterday I was putting our outdoor storage box together and my knee was about to pop out of place or whatever it does so I had to get off of it real quick and Lauren was running around me and the box and she stopped because she knew I was in pain and she put her hand on my shoulder and said something I didnt understand at first then I asked her to say it again and she was asking me if I was ok!!!! She is so sweet!! Once I said yes she patted my shoulder and started running around the box and me again!!

Today Jon took Lauren to her swimming lesson. She wasn't able to go last week due to being sick so this was the first time going with Jon. It was just as I thought, she did GREAT!! Jon came in grinning from ear to ear and said "so she wouldn't even get in the water with you" And she did but only for a second. Well he said she was ready to get right in and did so good! She was using one of those floaty things that goes out in front of you and you kick your legs. She did that great! The instructor was trying to get Jon to show her how to go underwater and blow bubbles but they didn't get that down just yet. But she did like bobbing up and down in the water! I think it is great for being her second time in the pool!!!
