No More Diapers!!!

I decided we would give potty training a try last Monday and Allison did AWESOME!!! Once she realized that she got a treat after she went she did not have an accident! The second night she wore her panties to bed and did great! She really picked it up fast! It was much easier with her than Lauren. I am so proud of her!!

Lauren turns 6!!!

Lauren had a huge birthday this year! Just sort of worked out that way. It started on last Friday when she took her classmates pink cookies for her birthday. They also sang to her and she had a princess birthday crown to wear. Then on Saturday her actual birthday we got up and went to her soccer game and they won!! Then the family came back to the house for pizza and chocolate fountain! She got a big girl bike from Mimi and Pawpaw! Lauren also got a magic kit from Nana and Pops! And lots of other good stuff! Then we went to Rivercity Gymnastics and she had her party with her friends. They all had a such a great time! We came home and left Sunday morning for St. Louis!! We made a stop at Lambert's for lunch and the girls thought it was great they would throw the rolls. Then we got checked in the hotel and went swimming. It was an indoor pool so that was nice. What was not so nice was the fact there was tile all around the pool and it was VERY slippery! The girls both fell! We went to eat at The Cheesecake Factory that evening and it was so pretty in there! The dessert was so good! Then on Monday we were up bright and early to go to the American Girl Store!! It was awesome seeing their faces light up seeing it all! They both picked out their dolls and we all walked around the store and they picked out several things. We had made reservations to eat at the Bistro there. We told them it was for Lauren's birthday so they put us in the party room and Lauren got to sit on the princess throne! Her doll got to wear a party hat to! It was just so adorable! They have not forgotten any details on that store! That afternoon we all went to the Arch. It was very freaky riding up to the top and back down. It is not something I would want to do again! Then on Tuesday we went to the zoo and it was great! It was amazing to be so close to the animals. The weather the entire time we were there could not have been better! After we left the zoo we went to the City museum and it was so cool! The kids really enjoyed it. On Wednesday we went to Grant's Farm. The girls got to feed bottles to baby goats! It was so cute! Then we headed home. It was a great trip!

No Training wheels!!

Lauren decided yesterday that she wanted to try to ride her bike without the training wheels. So Jon took them off and he held on to her bike for a second and she was off! She did so good! She was so proud of herself! Allison is getting faster on the tricycle and it is just so cute to watch them ride together.

Spring Break!

It is Lauren's spring break this week. On Monday we went and got Lauren's EARS PIERCED!! She did great! She was a little hesitant when the girl was about to do it but then she was ok. She just had a tear or so. She has done really well with them so far.

Today Allison saw her first movie at the theaters! She did awesome!

Lauren says...

The other day after school Lauren says "Mom you remember the civil war?" I just sat there for a second and I said well I wasn't born then! She said OH ok

Last night she was pretending to be a cat or dog while eating and I told her to stop that it wasn't lady like. She looked at me funny and said but ladies like dog!

You just never know what she is going to come up with next!

Allison is talking so much now! It is so cute to hear her sweet voice.

Lauren looses her first teeth!

Lauren got two of her bottom teeth pulled today. They had to come out because her permanment teeth are already coming through. She did great with it! The gas I think made her a little out of because when we got home she kinda freaked out wondering where her teeth went to!! The dentist said it looks like we may have to do the same for the next two bottom teeth also.

Last Thrusday when I put Allison down for a nap she didn't want to take a nap. So she climbed or really fell out of her crib! So that night we took the front of it off and she was so excited! She climbed right in and her and Lauren played in her room till bedtime. Jon and I were afraid she would get up after we put her to bed but she did great! She goes right to bed and stays in her room until someone opens the door. I don't think she has realized that it is ok for her to open the door yet. We are hoping it stays this way because Lauren is still really bad about getting up after she goes to bed.

It was so sweet the other day she told me she loved me to! Everyday she is surprises me with the things she knows!

Little Gym today!

Allison and me went to the Little Gym again today. This was our second time going and I was dreading it! The first time she would not take her shoes off so we just sat and watched. This time started the same until we actually got in the playroom and I asked her is she wanted to play and she said yes!! So she took her shoes off without a fuss and went to playing! She had such a good time! We have a few more classes and then we will see if we will keep it up. The instructor said we might have a gymnast on our hands since she did such a good job on the bars.

I sneezed yesterday and Allison said "bless you"! I love that she is talking so much more now. It is funny how you don't think they are picking up things but they are!

Allison's First Hair cut!!!

I have been thinking about getting her hair cut for some time but I finally got the courage to do it. Lauren has been asking to get hers cut for awhile now also. So we went! Allison in her true fashion was soooo excited to be going and getting her hair cut...till we got there! She didn't want to sit in the chair and didn't want to get it cut. She just kept saying NO NO NO! So the lady said well try holding her and see if that helps. Of course it did and she was fine. She watched a movie and didn't fuss again. But since I was holding her I didn't get to take any pictures of her getting it cut. The lady said she thinks her hair is going to be really thick. I told her I sure hope so because it doesnt seem like Lauren's is going to thicken up. They were both so adorable after they got done and got their glitter and smell good in their hair. They ran up and down the run way. By the time we were leaving Allison was telling everyone thank you and bye! This girl is going to be something else!!

Lauren looks so much older now!! She loves it though. My little girl is growing up!

In other things going on around here we are all ready for Christmas!! Lauren has been sick on and off but the doctor thinks it is just some random thing. Allison is really talking so much more now! She is also very opionated! She picked out 3 outfits the other day and didn't really want to put any of them on! I hope we both make it through these terrible twos!!!!!

Already saw Santa!

Yep! We have already went and saw Santa and it is not even Thanksgiving! I figured it was be a much shorter line and Jon wanted to go and was able to this past weekend so we went! Problem was on the bass pro website it said santa was there 7 days a week. NO WHERe did it say he wasnt going to get there until noon! We got there at 10:30! Jon is not used to being with the Girls that much and certainly not taking them in a store so he was kinda freaking out! So we did play for a little bit but then Jon wanted to go home until noon. We came back and just had a wait a little bit. Allison was NOT going to sit on his lap. I didn't expect her to but I wanted her in the pic so Jon held her. At first she wouldnt look at the camera and then he said I will get you a piece of candy and then she turned and smiled! Lauren told Santa what she wanted: Fiji friend and ice cream maker...only because she had just saw the commerical for the ice cream maker. Then yesterday she says she wants an American Girl doll and accessories and matching clothes and for me to email Santa if I can! Thank goodness this morning she said it was ok to wait till her birthday for those. It is so cute to see them all excited about it.

Allison is coming into her terrible twos something awful!! On Sunday while I was trying to get her dressed she would not listen to me and she put her hands over her ears and looked at me and just smiled! She is a mess!!!
